Social Сhanges Induced by the Evolution of the Digital Capitalism in the Republic of Korea in the XXI Century

The rapid development of information technology in the Republic of Korea in the 21st century makes changes in politics, economy, and social structure inevitable. This study examines the complex relationship between South Korea's traditional culture in the face of Collectivism and Western values as Individualism, revealing the historical background to the development of digital capitalism, its evolution, and its impact on modern society. Through a comprehensive analysis of various cases in South Korea, this study explores the emergence of digital capitalism and the resulting social changes. The study also examines the impact of digital capitalism on society and interpersonal relationships, the phenomenon of reaction culture on platforms such as YouTube, and its reinforcement against the COVID-19 pandemic. The study identifies effective strategies for sustaining the digital industry and analyzes the sociocultural challenges following the transition to the digital sector.
