Digital Retail Platforms and Their Regulation

Today, digitalisation is increasingly penetrating all spheres of society. Digital retail platforms are a tool that facilitates high-quality and secure interaction between multiple market participants. Marketplaces have many advantages, but their potential problems and regulation require separate study. This paper investigates the types and effects of digital retail platforms, as well as the causes and effects of their popularisation on various marketplace participants. The current state of the marketplace market and existing regulatory measures are described. The impact of the popularisation of matketplays on the survival rate of retailer companies in terms of generating positive revenue and profit is empirically investigated. The findings of the regression analysis are compared with the original hypothesis of the study.
