Task: The aim of this study is to identify the factors that influence the volume of alcohol consumption among Russian workers. Methods: A panel dataset consisting of 10,184 observations over an 8-year period from 2012 to 2019 was analyzed. This dataset includes 660 men and 613 women. Due to issues of autocorrelation and heteroscedasticity, the data was analyzed using a Generalized Least Squares (GLS) model. Results: For men, the following variables were positively significant predictors of the amount of alcohol consumed per day at a 5% significance level: age, income level, and number of weekly working hours. The variables that became negatively significant were: level of education, presence of subordinates, and living outside one's home. For women, the variables that were positively significant in their volume of alcohol consumption per day at the 5% significance level were: number of weekly working hours and presence of subordinates. The negatively significant variables were: age, marital status, and level of education.
