Demand for Music as a Form of Entertainment and an Object of Fan\'s Culture: Sales of Music Products as Physical Albums in Time of Streaming Services\' Development

The music industry has undergone significant changes since the 2000s, due to the rise of streaming platforms. These changes have led to a decline in sales of physical music albums. However, in recent years, there has been an increase in album sales, possible due to a renewed appreciation for collection of music goods and the growth of the fan culture. A study has found a positive correlation between streaming music and the purchase of physical albums, especially in the K-pop genre, which has a well-developed fan culture. Factors such as country and album "quality" seem to have no impact on physical sales.
