This study evaluates the impact of economic crises on investments by agro-industrial companies in Russia. The purpose of this work is to study the factors influencing investments in the purchase of non-current assets of the Russian agro-industrial complex both during economic downturns and in stable periods. This document will briefly describe the current features, strengths and weaknesses of the agricultural sector of the Russian Federation, and provide an overview of obstacles to investment in this industry. A brief analysis of the actions of government agencies aimed at supporting the industry in times of crisis will also be conducted. In the practical part of the study, panel data on 119 companies in the period from 2013 to 2023 were analyzed. As a result of the regression analysis of static and dynamic panel data, evidence was obtained of the high impact of the crisis on the acquisition of non-current assets by the agricultural sector.
