Today, the financial sector plays a major role in the economic development of the country. In the modern world, where various crisis situations arise and demographic changes occur, the study of the impact of these factors on financial systems becomes especially relevant. Demographic trends also have an additional impact on crisis situations, as the population's response to financial stress changes. It seems important to analyze how the financial systems of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus are adapting to such challenges and what strategies can be proposed to improve their sustainability and efficiency. The purpose of this study is to conduct a comparative analysis of the impact of crisis situations and demographic factors on the financial sectors of Russia and Belarus in order to identify similarities and differences in their impact. To achieve this goal, the following analysis methods were used: comparative study of crises, analysis of financial and demographic indicators, as well as assessment of demographic trends. The study is based on data that includes statistical information on financial indicators, such as the volume of assets of the banking system, the financial condition of the banking system, as well as demographic data such as changes in population structure, fertility, migration flows, etc. The results of the study allow us to identify key factors influencing the vulnerability and adaptation of the financial systems of Russia and Belarus to crisis situations and demographic changes, namely changes in the unemployment rate, inflation, birth rate and others. The work increases scientific understanding of the relationships between economic, financial and demographic processes and can be used to develop strategies for managing financial risks and developing financial institutions in Russia and Belarus. The overall structure of the study consists of seven sections, including an abstract, an introduction, three main chapters, a conclusion and a list of sources.
