The study was conducted to investigate conflicts among students living in dormitories. When analyzing interpersonal conflicts among student neighbors, situational, cultural, individual, and environmental factors were taken into account. The following methods were used in the study: The "horizontal/vertical individualism-collectivism" cultural orientation assessment method by G. Triandis, developed by A. A. Gallyamova and D. S. Grigoryev (Gallyamova & Grigoryev, 2022), the Horn-Östberg test (Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire, MEQ). To study the environmental factors of interpersonal conflicts among students, a questionnaire based on the content analysis of pilot study responses was created. In addition, a new method of data collection has been developed using a chatbot on the Telegram messaging platform. Conflict data was collected over a period of 3 weeks: 1 exam week and 2 regular academic weeks. The results showed that environmental and individual factors did not have a significant impact on the number of conflicts, but the cultural factor (Vertical Individualism) and situational factor (exam week) were correlated with an increase in conflicts. Further development of the study involves designing research on conflicts in student dyads or triads and comparing the conflict situation in different types of dormitories.
