Identity for Life Science Centre of MIPT

Objectives of visual research: – study visual and textual material that shows us the use of various drugs in cinema and art; – sort it, focusing on the reception of the “emotional arc”; – connect the emotional promise conveyed through a visual image with the function of the drug; – find visual and compositional solutions for the correct combination of factual text material, display and archival graphics. Visual research consists of an organic interweaving of advertising material, fragments of news reports, photographic materials, frames from films and text material that supports the logic of the narrative and accompanies the reader throughout the book. It is directly related to the topic of the graduation work, the creation of an identity for the laboratory of the MIPT Center for Living Systems, which is engaged in the research, production and marketing of drugs and gene therapies. The visual study revealed patterns of how medicines and their promises impact society and its cultural and social contexts.
