Animation Video «Brave New World»

Student: Kuznetsova Bernara

Supervisor:

Faculty: Faculty of Creative Industries

Educational Programme: Communication and Digital Design (Master)

Final Grade: 10

Year of Graduation: 2024

The video is devoted to several topics : nuclear war; the harmful result of human attitude to the environment; reflections on the flora and fauna of the Earth and their impact on the planet; the question of man's place in the world and whether it is as important as we think it is. The aim of this project is to make the viewer think about the issues mentioned above and draw conclusions; not to forget what is really important and that man is just one element in the chain of life of the whole planet. The video is purposefully filled with aesthetically pleasing elements: the way the new life after the war looks is different from what we are used to, but at the same time it is something beautiful and unexplored, almost magical. The whole world after the transformation seems to be one big greenhouse of glowing plants. This is done in order to attract the viewer's attention, to get his favor, to surprise and to cause positive emotions, as it is the positive experience that is stored in the memory, and one wants to return to it again and again. The whole picture is supported by the sound accompaniment, which creates the right atmosphere and makes the viewer immerse even more deeply into what is happening. Thus, this project utilizes several important components of multimedia art: visual and sound content, through which the viewer receives a certain message from the author and carries it through his or her own prism of experience and emotions. The story of one character turns into a visual journey, which the viewer follows and brings his or her own meanings to it.
