This master's thesis aims to explore the similarities and differences of the growth strategies of international hospitality companies on the home and host markets. Our work is divided into three chapters. At the beginning of our work, we analysed the theoretical concept of growth strategies based on secondary data and examined the various strategies adopted by hospitality companies on home and host markets and the similarities and differences between them. In the second chapter, we conducted several quantitative studies in order to understand what growth strategies are used by hospitality companies on home and host markets. We also conducted case studies on the Hyatt and Intercontinental Hotels, reviewed their activities and growth over the past 5 years (2019-2024) in each of their markets, and identified their impact on the company's results. In the third chapter, we drew conclusions from our work, including a comparison of similarities and differences found in the literature and the results of case studies, which were presented in the form of a table, and also gave practical recommendations to hospitality companies seeking growth. Moreover, we have given some recommendations for further work in this area and an overview of the limitations of our work.
