The Influence of Socioeconomic Factors and Political Attitudes on Voter Participation in German Federal Elections

The study is an attempt to investigate the socio-economic and political factors of political participation in German federal elections. Using data from the ALLBUS survey, it assesses how respondents' income, education, age, gender as well as their trust in political institutions and national pride influence their propensity to engage in electoral forms of political participation.
