In this study, we focus on the work of British photographer Simon Norfolk, who is known for his photographs of the post-war landscapes of Afghanistan. During the military conflicts in Afghanistan, many tragic events occurred that affected the lives and psychological state of the local population. Using his camera, Norfolk captured these post-war landscapes, in which the destruction left behind, combined with the quiet beauty of nature, become evidence of war and suffering. Norfolk began his work in Afghanistan in 2001 and continued to photograph there until 2014. During these years, he documented the effects of the war and their impact on local nature and society. The study consists of three chapters, an introduction, a conclusion, and also includes an appendix with illustrations.
