Promotion of the ViziA Application as one of the Ways to Popularize Recreation in Abkhazia

Student: Victoria Grigoryan

Educational Programme: Design (Bachelor)

Final Grade: 7

Year of Graduation: 2024

This project proposal aims to promote the ViziA app as a way to develop a tourism market in Abkhazia. While tourism is a key driver of economic development for the republic, it is currently hindered by a lack of services that encourage engagement and reduce irrational fears. There is a highly skeptical attitude among tourists that has been reinforced due to past stereotypes, which further complicates the formation of a unified image of the region. The purpose of this academic work is to organize an international contest that will bring together selected target groups and ultimately collect data for the app. Quantitative and qualitative methods such as surveys, content analysis, hypothesis testing, information product development, and search engine optimization will be used to achieve this goal. The study will contribute to the development of tourism in Abkhazia, bringing many benefits to the region and its residents. It will also allow for the flexibility of a promotional model that can be adapted to any region's needs in the future. This will make it a valuable marketing tool for any region seeking to promote itself.
