Faculty: Faculty of Creative Industries

Educational Programme: Design (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2024

The purpose of this study was a try to find out whether there are precedents for the use of artificial intelligence in media production. I conducted an overview of the existing and potential areas of its use, and also made an overview on the neural network for image generation. In the final, I have worked out my own experiment on creating background images for my project (an animated film) in order to come to a conclusion on what level neural networks are now and how much appropriate their use is at the moment as a full-fledged force in production. The result showed that neural networks are not yet developed enough for this task, but in other areas they can be really useful.
