Within the framework of the dissertation, the peculiarities of youth migration in the Arctic region were investigated. The study aimed to assess the migration activity of youth in single-industry towns of the Arctic. The study utilized a social network analysis method based on VKontakte analytics. The analysis revealed that the main flow of youth is directed towards centers such as Moscow, St. Petersburg, and regional capitals. The centers offer opportunities for education and professional development. Therefore, there is a need to establish educational institutions in the Arctic regions that will meet the needs of prospective students. Regression analysis confirmed that education, wages, and preferential regimes are the main factors contributing to youth migration outflow. The least important factors are healthcare and housing. Migration is an ongoing process, and factors may change depending on external circumstances. Recommendations for reducing migration outflow include the development of the economic core, new qualifications and education, as well as the creation of a comfortable urban environment to retain and attract youth to the Arctic. Further research can be directed towards studying the impact of information technologies and alternative learning formats on migration processes. The results of the study emphasize the need for a comprehensive approach to the issue of youth migration. The data collection and analysis methods used in the study can be applied by regional authorities to assess the effectiveness of youth programs, such as the proportion of youth remaining in their hometown after completing their school education. Further research within the framework of assessing youth migration can contribute to the development of programs aimed at human capital development and improving the quality of life in single-industry towns.
