Ambivalent Sexism, Personal Traits and the Role of Percieved Threats in the Context of Political Attitudes

The thesis explores such phenomena as ambivalent sexism, socio-political attitudes (right-wing authoritarianism, social dominance orientation), perceived threat, political trust and cynicism, as well as their interaction. The sample consisted of 199 respondents (106 men and 93 women). The aim of the work was to analyze the presence of a moderating role of perceived threats in the relationship between ambivalent sexism and political trust and cynicism, taking into account the influence of socio-political attitudes. Regression models and correlation matrices were used to estimate the relationship between variables. As a result, no moderating role of perceived threats was found, but there is an indirect relationship between social dominance orientation and political trust and cynicism in the male sample; right-wing authoritarianism and political trust and cynicism in the female sample.
