Anti-Corruption Compliance in Football

Given the huge financial flows that go through football federations and clubs, the football industry is prone to infiltration by corruption. The relevance of the work is that little attention is paid to the issue of corruption in football, despite its recognition in this sport at the international level. Corrupt practices penetrate it, leaving a mark in the form of a decline in the level of professional sports, violate the principles of fair play and fairness. In football, anti-corruption measures play an important role in respecting the principles of Olympism and fair play. The main objective of this study is to identify corruption risks in football, as well as to identify best practices to combat corruption in football organizations. The conduct of theoretical studies aimed at their application in practice made it possible to develop recommendations for improving legislation in the field of counter-corruption in football, and to draw the attention of football unions and clubs to the need to introduce effective preventive measures in the fight against corrupt practices. In particular, it was determined that anti-corruption compliance should be introduced in football structures to counter corruption. The main anti-corruption measures in football include anti-corruption training and education, monitoring of the avoidance of match fixing, creation of compliance structures, cooperation of football organizations with the authorities. Master’s thesis consists of two chapters, divided into paragraphs, introduction and final part. Total amount of work 106 pages.
