Magical thinking is a phenomenon that is gaining popularity. Previously, magical thinking was studied only in the context of a clinic - it was considered as a symptom of various psychiatric diseases, most often schizotypy. This work is devoted to the adaptation of The Illusory Beliefs Inventory Questionnaire on a Russian-speaking sample. The original version of the Illusory Beliefs Questionnaire was developed by Australian researchers (Kingdon et al., 2012). This technique, aimed at assessing the level of magical thinking, is an up-to-date research tool that also takes into account previous methodological limitations. This questionnaire has an advantage over previous methods, since it integrates more modern ideas about magical thinking, in addition, the questionnaire is applicable to a non-clinical sample. Thanks to this, he will be able to provide a more accurate and in-depth study and understanding of the nature and manifestations of magical thinking in various groups of the population. The aim of the work is to adapt the methodology "Questionnaire of Illusory Beliefs" (Kingdon et al., 2012) on a Russian-language sample and determine its validity, reliability and factor structure. The results showed the similarity of the factor structure of the translated version of the questionnaire with the original, as well as the high reliability and validity of the tool.
