The degree work on the subject “Analysis and assessment of factors influencing the development of oil and gas regions of Russia: trends, problems and prospects” is devoted to the problem of the development of oil and gas-bearing territories of Russia under the conditions of sanctions pressure. The main factors influencing the development of oil and gas regions of Russia in current conditions are identified and analyzed. World and Russian trends in the development of the oil and gas complex have been identified. A dynamic statistical analysis of the main socio-economic indicators of the development of oil and gas regions was carried out. Currently key problems that may pose a threat to the sustainable development of territories have been identified. Recommendations have been developed aimed at maintaining, leveling out the negative consequences, as well as developing the oil and gas regions of Russia. Key words: oil, gas, fuel and energy complex, factors, sustainable development, regions, public administration, sanctions.
