Educational Programme: Psychology (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2024

The purpose of this graduate work was to study the relationship between teachers' pedagogical style and job satisfaction, with a focus on analysing the influence of internal and external motivational factors. The work involved the following tasks: theoretical analysis of the concepts of pedagogical style and job satisfaction, review of existing research in this area, conducting our own empirical research among teachers working in secondary schools in Russia, as well as analysis and interpretation of the obtained data. In the course of the study, 164 teachers were interviewed, providing data on the relationship between pedagogical styles and job satisfaction. The results showed that the satisfaction of teachers' basic psychological needs at work, such as the need for autonomy, competence and relatedness, is related to teachers' pedagogical styles. On the other hand, external factors (salary, benefits, etc.) were not related to teachers' work styles. This study highlights the importance of considering psychological aspects in pedagogical activities and can serve as a basis for further research in the field of educational psychology and human resource management in educational institutions.
