This study aims to analyze the evolutionary logic of theater posters, to highlight the specifics of the stages of its development. It also aims to explore the context of design creation for little-known, local, independent theaters and theatrical art in general. The study considers key eras and their influence on theater poster design. The context of design for independent theater is revealed through the lens of the work of designers at the California Institute of the Arts.
