Development of the User Interface Subsystem of the Computer Simulator Development Environment

Student: Bobrova Darya

Supervisor: Alexander V. Belov

Faculty: HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM HSE)

Educational Programme: Information Science and Computation Technology (Bachelor)

Final Grade: 8

Year of Graduation: 2024

When developing computer simulation environments, incorporating graphical interfaces directly into the application framework may make it more challenging to modify in the future, particularly when using open-source code. This may increase the risk of software bugs in the final product due to the absence of system-level software interfaces. The primary objective of this project is to create a flexible tool for creating simulators without the need for significant effort to integrate and extend the functionality of the development environment. To accomplish this, we will explore user requirements, analyze existing solutions, design a user-friendly and intuitive interface, and develop a graphical user interface that can significantly simplify and accelerate the simulation development process, enhance quality, and facilitate use for developers. The outcome of the work is a user-friendly graphical interface that will significantly streamline and expedite the process of creating simulators, enhancing their quality and usability for developers.
