The purpose of my visual research is to identify current and obsolete typographic techniques used in archaeological books. In order to do this, I had to complete the following tasks: collect books in chronological order, analyse each book and understand the reasons behind the use of a particular design technique. As a result of my study, it became clear that there are no 'bad' techniques, but rather inappropriate uses of techniques.
