It is unavoidable for literature that addresses topics such as mental illnesses and addictions to have a certain somber tone - after all, such subjects are not suitable for joking about. At present, many media outlets have begun to portray these topics. However, as these issues have become more widespread and have entered our modern lives, the writer has desired to remove the mystery surrounding them and reduce them to a simple topic for discussion. During the development of his project, such methods as content analysis and comparison of previously written comics were used. These steps were taken to inspect how authors addressed these subjects, in order for to create the most accurate representation of symptoms associated with bipolar personality disorder through their own characters. The current results include a published article on visual research, a fully written script for the graphic novel, a colorized storyboard, and some illustrated pages from the final book. This study has the following structure: an introduction to the research, a review of the literature used, the implemented methods, the expected outcome, and a conclusion.
