The imposition of Western sanctions has impacted Russia's high-tech sector, leading to reduced supplies of electronics and equipment, as well as the cessation of cooperation with technology service providers. This has prompted Russia to intensify its "Pivot to the East" policy, which involves developing trade, economic, and political relations with Asian countries and other eastern regions. The study identifies the areas of import dependency in Russia's high-tech sector and analyzes the export potential of Russia and Eastern countries in this field. The research methodology is based on conducting economic-statistical and comparative analysis, as well as modeling using the gravity model of international trade to assess the impact of sanctions on trade between Russia and its trading partners. The study concludes that China plays a key role as a potential political and economic partner for Russia in foreign trade cooperation in the high-tech sector. Additionally, the study identifies opportunities and challenges for high-tech trade with Russia's major partners.
