Visual research examines individual photographs and series (both artistic and applied) dedicated to craftsmen, artists and artisans and their spaces, taken in the XX-XXI centuries. The artist's workshop has always been and is a mysterious place surrounded by myths about creativity and an aura of inaccessibility: in the studio, the artist is most often alone. This is a special space for creation, turning your vision into a work of art. This research is closely related to the topic of graduate qualified work: “The master is a special human state of passion. Research with the help of photography.” The thesis is devoted to the analysis and reasoning on the topic of the interaction of the master and his environment, how the artist and space influence each other. The visual study examines how photography can capture the unique language of creating art objects, the creative process of people engaged in various types of activities: artisans, artists, designers. Staying in the artist's environment will help to reveal the true ideas through photography, capture the details that contain both inspiration and emotions. The artist's studio often helps to reveal the identity of the author, asserts his individuality. The appeal to documenting workshops fuels interest in artistic activity, since secrecy hides mystery. The workshop has become more than just a place to work, it has become an expression of a lifestyle, a place to broadcast ideas and values. The artists' studios gradually began to turn into museums containing important attributes and plaster products, chaotic brushstrokes that remained on the walls and on the floor. How is the image of the master displayed in the photo? In the 20th century, public interest in artistic activity is growing, and photography provides an opportunity to "look behind the scenes", to penetrate into the once closed spaces of the artistic world. The general public can finally look at the studios of legendary authors from the pages of illustrated magazines. The authors considered in the first chapter often give the viewer a look rather at the superficial, stereotypical image of the artist, do not go beyond the illustrative function and consider the workshop and the author as something exotic. The workshop was often perceived as a mythical place where a divine idea was present, which could not fully reveal the whole essence of the idea of the relationship between the artist and the environment. But after a while, artistic photography in the workshops began to take on a new meaning of the narrative. Closer to the middle of the XX century, deeper series penetrating beyond the first layer began to occur. Next, we look at the works in which photographers analyze the space: what details in the studio can tell about the master, about his style of work, what role does the general impression of the artist's environment play, how does it help to be inspired by the atmosphere and, most importantly, to understand something about the meaning and power of artistic activity? This is followed by modern commercial projects of photographers who continue to talk about the existence of a special passion for people.
