Heightened attention to the narrative element of video games forces developers to seek such ways of storytelling in the context of a video game medium, where the narrative is not only conveyed through textual elements but also through graphics, gameplay, and sound design. The aim of the research is to identify, collect, and categorize as many storytelling techniques in the games of a specific studio as possible, and to determine their applicability and usefulness for other games, specifically in the diploma project. The ultimate result should be a story-driven video game in which the plot is conveyed through all components, from music to user interface. For a detailed examination of narrative techniques, games developed by Supergiant Games studio, positioned as story-driven, were chosen. Methods of data collection, synthesis, and comparative analysis were used in order to achieve all of the research goals. The main sources of literature include articles on the study of storytelling in games in general, as well as interviews with developers from Supergiant Games.
