The topic of the work was chosen to be Japanese puppet theater. During the process of writing the research, the relevance of this art form both in its homeland and abroad was studied. However, the focus was placed on the modern Western media space, where the gaming industry and cinema interpret Japanese motifs in their own way. After all, we are talking about ancient traditional practices, entertainment that has existed for several hundred years. Creating something identical to the original in these conditions is incredibly difficult, so any author is at least required to study various methods of interpretation and existing works that are in one way or another related to Bunraku.
