The purpose of this research is to identify the influence of demographic and social attributes of individual investors on their risk-taking level. We selected the following indicators: age, gender, field of education, source of income, amount of income and expenses, availability of property liabilities, availability of savings, and amount of deferred income. The empirical part of the work will test whether Russian investors adequately assess their attitude to risk by comparing the results of the risk profiling questionnaire with their actual risk profile calculated based on real transactions in the market. Also, we plan to reveal whether the attitude to risk is static in the short term or not. Further, based on ordinal logistic regression, we will reveal how selected social and demographic factors influence investor's attitudes to risk.
