This study uses the concept of dark ecology to enrich environmental philosophy and practice, highlighting our complex connections with nature, thereby paving the way for more holistic and innovative solutions to environmental problems. The goals that I set and achieved: 1) to outline the philosophical foundations of dark ecology; 2) to assess the importance of dark ecology for solving modern environmental problems; 3) to identify possible changes in environmental ethics and practices promoted by dark ecology.
