This paper examines foreign experience in the development of its own accelerated genomic selection using the example of Ireland to form a model of transition from traditional selection. Based on the methodology for evaluating knowledge-intensive projects in the field of breeding, the economic efficiency of accelerated breeding of dairy cattle is measured in comparison with the traditional approach. The purpose of the master's thesis is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the economic efficiency of genomic selection of dairy cattle. In order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to solve the following tasks: 1. Consider the methodologies and economic concepts that determine the breeding values of livestock; 2. Review the main technologies used to determine the breeding value of an animal; 3. Explore key breeding decisions in countries with a high level of dairy production development; 4. analyze the domestic breeding market 5. identify factors and barriers to the development of genomic selection in Russia 6. develop a methodology for assessing the economic efficiency of accelerated selection of dairy cattle; 7. conduct practical testing of the developed methodology. Objects of final qualifying work are selection models for breeding dairy cattle. The subject of the final qualifying work is the economic effect of the transition to modern technologies for breeding dairy cattle. In the final qualifying work, the method of sampling and analysis of the resulting data array were used. A model was also developed to assess the effectiveness of economic activity.
