The work presents a comprehensive analysis of the socio-economic development of Turkey, with a special focus on the phenomenon of the "medium-level development trap". The study is based on a theoretical understanding and empirical analysis of Turkey's economic growth, highlighting both the achievements and the challenges facing the country at the present stage. The dynamics of GDP, inflation, depreciation of the national currency, and the current account are considered, emphasizing both positive and negative trends of the last two decades. An important aspect of the work is a detailed analysis using the Hausmann-Rodrik-Velasco model to diagnose constraints hindering economic development. The study offers a new look at the socio-economic situation of Turkey through the prism of comparison with the theory of the "medium-level development trap", complementing the existing scientific body of knowledge about the specifics of economic development in global and regional contexts. Thus, the work makes a significant contribution to understanding the complex processes shaping the economic reality of Turkey.
