The purpose of this research work is to identify the specifics (specific features) of France's policy in the European Union in the field of nuclear energy development in 2021-2023 and its correlation with the policy of the European Union in this area, as well as to compile a classification of EU member states based on the position taken by states on the issue of active use and the need for the development of nuclear energy in the European Union by the end of 2023.
