The object of the research is a large generating company of the Russian Federation, the type of activity of which is the production of electric and thermal energy. The relevance of the master's thesis is that effective decision-making in the management of an energy company is impossible without reasonable information about the state of generating equipment, planned and performed maintenance and repair works (MRO). The purpose of the study is to implement a business process reengineering project in an energy company in order to improve the efficiency of the Metrology Department in terms of equipment maintenance and repair. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the development of recommendations for managing the project of business process reengineering in an energy company, taking into account the peculiarities of the functioning of this industry. The methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison, classification, generalisation, system approach, modelling, as well as empirical research methods are used in the work. Practical significance of the work consists in the possibility of applying the developed recommendations for the project of re-engineering of complete maintenance and repair of equipment of the whole energy company.
