Multifunctional Public Space on the Territory of the Former Katterbach Brewery in Torzhok

The aim of the visual study was to identify and demonstrate the correlation between the development of bricklaying technologies and brick production, and the character of brick architecture. To achieve this objective, an analysis was conducted on brick architecture, brick production technology, and construction technology from the 19th to the 21st centuries. The research confirmed the hypothesis regarding the influence of brick production and construction technologies on the character of brick architecture. The repercussions of employing innovative materials or new structural schemes are manifested both in decorative techniques and in the overall formative aspects of the building.
