The animal style, dating back to ancient times, captivates researchers with its detailed portrayal of animals and their body parts. In the territory of Eurasia, this phenomenon is seen in two main styles: Permian and Scythian-Siberian. These styles share a common origin, which can lead to confusion. By comparing the Permian and Scythian-Siberian styles, the study aims to reveal subtle differences in how they depict similar themes. It will specifically highlight important images unique to the Permian style and analyze their visual features. The distinctive features of the Permian animal style can be used in the modern Perm to emphasize belonging to the region and preserve heritage memory.
