This study examines the relationship between the United States and Saudi Arabia in the context of US national interests in the Middle East over the past two administrations. The author analyzes key actors and security issues in the region that are a focus for US national interests. The work also describes military-technical cooperation between the countries, evaluates Saudi Arabia's efforts in the fight against terrorism, and examines U.S. strategic priorities in the region, including approaches to conflicts such as Syria, Yemen, Arab-Israeli, Palestinian-Israeli, and their relations in ties to containment by Iran. The work also examines the role of energy resources, the cooperation of US geopolitical rivals such as Russia and China with Saudi Arabia in order to identify changes and assess US influence on Saudi Arabia. The author came to the conclusion that recently US influence on Saudi Arabia has been declining due to changing geopolitical conditions, which has a negative impact on American interests.
