The purpose of my research is to identify the image and characteristics of Mongolian traditional architecture through research and analysis, to highlight the image and characteristics expressing the concept of Mongolian traditional architecture, and to study how they are reflected in 20th century buildings. Objectives of the research - to specify the object and scope of the research, to consider the methodology of the research and get relevant information from it, to make necessary observations and comparisons according to the methodology, to make a conclusion based on the collected materials. Location of the research object - Public buildings of Ulan Bator city, built in the 20th century, reflecting traditional Mongolian architectural images, elements, etc. The main reason for the choice of the research object is to examine the methodology of the research and to make necessary observations and comparisons. The main reason for the choice of the topic is that by studying Mongolian traditional architecture, an understanding of the image, characteristics and origin is created, also by understanding how it has been transferred to the public buildings of the 20th century period and passing them from generation to generation, it will undoubtedly become a valuable part of the history telling about the history period of Ulanbator. In researching selected public buildings in the city of Ulaanbaatar, buildings that reflected traditional features were planned with traditional features of temples, monasteries, yurts, tents, national ornaments, using them in facades and plans. Traditional Mongolian architecture flourished in the 20th century, if you look at the public buildings of the city, but today it is in a stagnant state. It is important to preserve the public buildings built in Ulaanbaatar that reflect the traditional elements and features of Mongolia, introduce them to generations and continue their development.
