This research explores the concept of ethno-territorial identity and examines visual identity markers of so called stateless nations in Western Europe, specifically Basques, Bretons, Corsicans, and Frisians. It is notable, that ethnic and regional symbols of autochthonous minorities, such as flags for example are widely and prominently displayed in public spaces. The study aims to look into this observation closely and identify the most prevalent forms of visual and spatial identity expression and analyze their distribution methods across various contexts. Findings suggest that the nature of these identity markers varies based on who is responsible for their distribution.
