Long-term International Commercial Contracts: Legal Characteristics and Peculiarities

Long-term international commercial contracts are one of the most effective tools for certain areas of international business. Due to the processes of globalization and development of market economy, the number of concluded long-term contracts increases every year. In connection with this circumstance, the study of this institute is extremely relevant. The purpose of this research is to study the theoretical and practical foundations of international long-term commercial contracts, as well as the study of the legal basis for the regulation of this type of contract within the legal systems of the Russian Federation and some foreign countries. The first chapter considers theoretical aspects of international long-term contracts: historical development, notion, characteristic features and types of long-term contracts. The second chapter of the study analyzes the legal regulation of long-term commercial contracts at the international and national level. The third chapter is devoted to the study of prospects and problematic aspects that arise in the conclusion of long-term contracts.
