The aim of the study is to identify trends and prospects of the startup ecosystem in India and to formulate recommendations for its further development based on the analysis of factors and conditions shaping the ecosystem. Research of Russian, Indian and international authors, the latest reports from India's largest media and information platform for startups, and leading research platforms, has allowed us to evaluate the current state of the startup industry. In the practical part of the study, a model based on panel data was constructed, and a SWOT analysis was conducted. The study has formulated recommendations to address the identified issues within the startup ecosystem in India, along with potential metrics for evaluating the results.
