This bachelor thesis examines the impact of the abortion ban in commercial clinics and the control over the abortion pill turnover for healthcare and the demographic situation in Russia. The study is conducted against the backdrop of the country's demographic problems, such as low birth rates and high mortality rates. The paper analyzes current and planned measures for regulating abortions, including the Ministry of Health Order No. 459n and regional bans on abortions in private clinics. The main objective of the study is to assess the consequences of these measures for healthcare and the demographic situation in Russia. The methodological basis of the study includes an analysis of legal regulations and interviews with experts in the fields of medicine and demography. The main findings of the paper indicate that measures to regulate abortions will not lead to a significant increase in birth rates but may negatively affect the state of healthcare and the availability of medical services. This work makes a significant contribution to the literature on abortion regulation and demographic policy in Russia, offering recommendations for improving the current strategy for regulating abortions.
