This graduation thesis is dedicated to the study of survival simulators in the modern gaming industry. The work includes an analysis of the history of the development of this gaming genre, identification of the peculiarities of the gameplay, and examination of the main motivations of players when choosing survival simulators, or games containing elements of this genre. The research encompasses a review of various definitions and branches of the genre, as well as its influence on the development of other gaming genres. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the key gameplay mechanics of survival simulators, and aspects of gameplay difficulty are also explored.
