Today's harsh reality is not only a highly competitive environment in which it is easy to lose market share and profits, but also a chaotic macroeconomic and geopolitical environment. To improve their own competitiveness, companies are resorting to supply chain management optimization and business process re-engineering - the need for change was initially demonstrated by the Covid-19 pandemic, which launched a new era of business. Within domestic companies, another precedent of the 21st century happened - the announcement of a special military operation in Ukraine. After this event, many companies were forced to radically revise their inventory management systems, as the production and sale of certain goods became simply unprofitable.
