In recent times, security in Southeast Asia has always been a hot topic and has always been of concern not only to countries in the region but also to countries as far away as the United States. Therefore, this study will seek and highlight special points of partnership between Japan and ASEAN in the field of providing regional security because of the influence of China. In this project proposal, data collection and analysis will be used as the main methods for research to study the cooperation between Japan and ASEAN. In my analysis, ASEAN stands for The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, which is a regional organization that aims to promote economics and security cooperation for 10 members: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Our results will be contributed to develop relationship between Japan and ASEAN in the sphere of security.
