This study analyzes visual and structural techniques used in multilingual layout, including traditional and experimental approaches in different languages. Structural techniques are categorized according to their functionality: multilingualism as a tool to expand the target audience, educational function, or translingualism. The study results in a classification of techniques based on their functionality. This classification can serve as a guide for designers when creating multilingual layouts.
