Due to the growth of global environmental problems, countries are forced to take measures related to reducing the negative impact on the environment. The implementation of green technologies is one of the measures of public policy in many countries. However the green technology development requires support from the state. This research examines the factors influencing the development of green technologies based on data from 17 countries. To study the factors, data collected from academic literature, quantitative analysis methods were used - linear regression using the method of ordinary least squares to identify significant positive factors and a correlation matrix to determine the relationship between the indicators that were selected for analysis. According to the results of the study, factors that have a positive impact on the development of green technologies were identified and recommendations for public authorities were developed on their basis.
