The pursuit of sustainable socio-economic systems has become a paramount principle in society's development, particularly in response to global environmental concerns. Despite the complexity, maintaining a balanced trilemma of three contradictory dimensions - energy security, energy equity, and ecological stability in the context of the sustainable development agenda - is a necessary condition for building sustainable energy infrastructures. It is crucial to assess the impact the balance of the global energy trilemma on economic growth. To enrich the existing literature scope, this study is focused on the cases of Germany, the United States, and Japan. The research employs a comparative analysis of the energy policies and profiles of the three countries, employing regression analysis and an extended Cobb-Douglas production function to estimate the period from 2000 to 2022, considering power supply security, energy equity, and environmental resilience as key factors. The findings can be relevant to various fields of energy policy assessment.
