The cooperation between Italy and China has attracted a lot of attention in recent years in connection with the accession of the Apennines to the Chinese initiative "One Belt, One Road" in 2019. The next 5 years radically changed the global political and economic landscape. In Italy itself, 4 national governments have changed since then. How have the multiple changes affected Italy's relations with China, especially given the context of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative? How great was the influence of Italian domestic policy factors on the development of relations with China? What role did Italy's membership in the EU and NATO play in this issue? The presented master's thesis aims to understand the issues raised in detail.
