Against the backdrop of a rapidly changing global economic landscape and an unstable political climate, the pursuit of sustainable development and innovative financing methods has become a top priority for the Russian Federation. Sukuk bonds could become a groundbreaking financial instrument and strategic asset for Russia's national interests, reorienting commodities and cash flows towards the East, including as part of its Sustainable Development Agenda (ESG). The research aims to comprehensively analyze the global experience with Sukuk bond issuances, incorporating best practices into Russia's economy, considering Western sanctions and geopolitical tensions, and launching a pilot project for partner financing in the country.
